As well as an audio target indication via either the built in speaker or the 1/8th" headphone socket, the Black Knight Magpie sports a visual LED indicator (lighting green when a good target is located). Locating targets with the waterproof 8" search coil is made easy with the pinpoint facility. The three rotary controls on the control box adjust sensitivity, discrimination and volume. Detection is made via the waterproof 9.5" search coil giving outstanding results usually only found in machines in a far higher price bracket. Adjustments for sensitivity, discrimination and frequency shift are made by the rotary controls on the control box, as is the soil condition switch. Mode selection is made via the switch conveniently placed by the handgrip. In ground performance has proved the Black Knight Pro to not only be sensitive to the smallest targets, but also to have excellent discrimination qualities, locating good targets in high trash environments, as well as offering ground depths well in excess of 8" on an average coin sized target.
